My time here is officially up, after five years in British Columbia's Okanagan Valley.
The cliche term "bittersweet" is a perfect way to sum up my feelings as I stood before the front door of the first house I've ever owned, touched it one last time, and then turned away.
Vernon has become a memory.
Now my wife and I have sent most of our stuff via moving company to Ottawa, Ontario where we'll catch up with it after a five day trek across Ontario. I will try to update this blog as we drive across. But the tagline "updated daily" has been replaced with "updated whenever I feel like it -- or whenever I get a pit stop where there's a wireless connection."
This will be the fourth time I've driven across Canada.

your last editorial was much too long for my liking.
"Brevity is the soul of wit"
[Good luck in Ottawa) especially with your duel of wits with an unarmed m.p.
